Different era leaderheads?

Is it possible to modify Civ IV to change the leaderheads with each new era like Civ III had? And also, is it possible to have different still images for a leaderhead depending on his attitude towards another civ without it being animated since it seems to be impossible to animate a new leaderhead.

I'm sure it would be, the easiest I'd say would just to change the dds files. This would have to be a python script, putting the different era dds files in coresponding folders and then changing them with events. It sounds good anyway

I'm assuming (I have no clue with the coding stuff xml is as far as I go)
