Animated leaderheads?

Hello everyone.

I'm interested in essentially merging Civ Gold and C2C to be able to use Civ Gold's animated leaders instead of the static images that C2C uses. I only want to change the art and nothing else. This is just for my own personal preference.

I try to add the custom leaderhead assets and then change the paths in the CIV4ArtDefines_Leaderhead.xml to lead to the different files, which sort-of works with the leader's icon, but the leader image itself is a big slab of pink. I was hoping it would be this straightforward, but obviously not. If anyone could give me a hand or suggest what the problem might be, I would really appreciate it.

Blessings to all.

Does it work on vanilla BtS, the way you try to set it up in C2C?

Yep, just tried it and worked alright. I'm wondering if there's maybe something in C2C that's making it only allow for still images and not full models, since in C2C the <NIF> lines lead to .dds files and not .nif files.

I think I removed the code for nif's there some years ago since we don't use it, guess I can add it back for modmod support.

Makes sense. If it's possible and also no trouble then that'd be great. (Will add it myself if I knew what to put where.) Been a longtime enjoyer of this mod and thought I'd drop by the forum just to see.
