Here is an idea for the development of the diplomacy status in CIV3. Whenever i go to war with an ''enemy'' i try firts to make(if i don't already have one)an alliance with another civ.Things are always tougher when the opponent has already made its own alliances.But..what happens when you or the ''enemy'' desides to make peace? You just think what is more convenient for your own civ.If you are wining,it's ok,continue the war, maybe. If you are loosing then stop imidietaly(i think).Simple enought. But what hapens in the case of alliances.Let's say that for one or another reason you want to stop the war with Mongols f.e,but Egypt that is your ally is fighting(and loosing)also the Mongols. Now,i want to stop the war but i can't,because if i let Egypt alone they will be eliminated, and i don't want that.Maybe until then i have had an exellent trade(with the Egyptians),of resourses,strategic/luxury,that i cannot permit on loosing or falling in the hand of an enemy. So at this point i would like to have an option in diplomacy that allowed to deal the peace of a third civ also. For example- option:peace with the Mongols only if they make peace with Egyptians too. This is the idea, don't know if it could work, but it is something that bothered me in the past, and i think that it would make Diplomacy games more interesting. (Thanks for your patience!)

Well it would work in a multiplayer game. ;)

The AI is waay too stoopid to be able to discuss a 3 way deal. For example - you would have to get the Mongols to discuss peace with Egypt, and what if their pre-condition was the Mongols make peace with yet another civ? Even if you could just keep it to 3 parties you would have to totally re-write the diplo engine to deal with it.

Maybe Civ6, or Civ7. :p

Yes that's a fact. A.I is not that artificial or better is not a human inteligence. However i wonder if it is possible to create a more simple way to introduce this kind of development.

This was applied in CTP series, I do think that this would bring Diplomacy in Civ3, to a greater level. Also, i think that why this, it should be possible to create agreements, to reduce the nuclear wepons, or the option, to stop spying or else thing.....even the duration of the agrements, like ROP, should be optional...instead of the 20 turns stat.

maybe add an option with "Sign a peace treathy with ....."

And if they agree then that other Civ will be stimulated into a peace treaty

Say u use that "Sign a peace treaty with mongels" on Egypt
Then egypt will try and get peace with Mongels.
When u use the same thing on Mongels "Sign peace treathy with Egypt" Then when mongels agree they are stimulated into peace.

If both parties agree, they will aproach eachother with much higher chance of peace in diplomacy.

This would also make a good addition for the player to nagotiate peace between civ's :D

That seems to be applicable, because it does not have to be something extra-compicated as an option.Basicaly i think that A.I could work on a third player option, with simple orders.Like you said: Sign a peace treaty with:----- Response:Yes or No .After that proceed to an automatic-peace treaty just like when you make a peace treaty with any other option. It's the same as asking for gold f.e.
