Have you ever seen a sitrep that says something like 'Your translation program broke and you got bad diplomatic translations. Relations decreased'?
Well, the other day my full ally sends me a message that ended 'so we cheefully declare war on you!' I was completely stumped--but then I looked at the message title at the top of the picture and it said 'T/A Economic' which made a LOT more sense...I accepted the deal and my relations went up! So, don't trust the message since it may be mistranslated! (Bug or feature? <g>)
A definite bug seems to occur with trading items for more than one round with an alien. The way it was reported was that you could get planets from them by deliberately drawing the process out.
My own experience yesterday was that all of a sudden a deal came back and it was saying that I would give THEM a planet I had never heard of! OK, I thought, my magnate civ has a foothold somewhere. I checked and that was not the case--the planet, when I looked at it, already belonged to the Aliens I was trading with! So I took the deal and it went though and he kept the planet...
It's possible that the plaent WAS mine before the deal and it got transferred over when the deal was proposed; something to try and keep an eye out for.
