Since updating with the latest patch and going back to playing what is now (hopefully) a proper game, I've come across a couple more problems.
The first, and least annoying, is that my game launcher has Direct X 10/11 greyed out and a message telling me that I need "Service Pack 2". My graphics card (nVidia) drivers are completely up to date (I checked today), and I'm running Windows 7 (which is also up to date and, as far as I know, doesn't even have a Service Pack 2 yet). I can still run the game using the Direct X 9 version, without any problems, but Direct X 10/11 is no longer available to me (it was working fine before the patch). Anyone got any suggestions?
Secondly, and rather more irritating, is that my units are getting their movement mucked around with. Only just noticed this in the Mongol Horde scenario, where fast-moving troops are crucial and plentiful. I'm not exactly sure what's happening but it seems that some units are having their effective movement allowance reduced. For example, I have numerous Horsemen, with a movement of 5. All of them have their movement points shown as "5/5" in the corner, at the start of the turn, but some of them can only move 1 hex per turn, some can move 2, and the rest can move the normal amount. Movement on roads seems to be unaffected. It's not just the Horsemen that are having this problem, as I also have a couple of Crossbowmen and Longswordmen that are restricted to 1 hex per turn (unless on roads), regardless of terrain type. This only started to appear about halfway through the campaign, and it's effecting both newly-trained units and existing units. It's an incredibly annoying glitch and has turned my Golden Horde into more of a Bronze Horde, who limp slowly and inconsistently across the plains
