Disable city screen ambient sound?

Is there any way to disable all the city screen music, and perhaps make it so that the regular music just keeps playing? One gets tired of hearing the same noise so often... :bored:

Letting music running on city screen and having city screen sound in the same time.

You could probably just find the relevant sound files in the Sounds folder and then remove/delete them so they CAN'T play.

Too much work to remove headphone everytime i want to check a city

Just turn the music off and listen to something better. Or watch the world cup while you play!

In the options menu you can, audio options, you can uncheck 'ambient' or mute it. This gets rid of the very very annoying sounds of the city screen

The main objective is to have the music in the city screen WITH the city screen sounds.

Ya That Part is hurtin for sure. They grouped the most annoying sounds of any city with a loop thats length is to short . For me it would lead to a dreaded moment every pick of the next project.

Why coudn't they have at least made a attempt of mixing in a few varieties? even cultural Flavour effects?! hmmm. ...mybe thats a moddin possibilty, like a another avenue to explore when adding that extra feel to accentuate each culture's uniqueness.

I think if you right click on a city you can change the production or even rush the actual item being built without opening the city screen; i dont remember, been 1 week since i played, but i do remember i found a way to manage the city without opening the screen to avoid those damn ambient sounds.
