Discovery of New World 1500+ mod?

Been looking for a mod for CivIV (Since CivV isnt ready yet) that allows greater powers to explore and settle in New Worlds in America and continue playing til late 1800s or pass it.

I didnt like Colonization much, was hoping something like Total War: Empire and couldnt find a mod there either. Dont think you can settle new colonies in TW:E
Is there any good games out there have what i am aiming for?

I saw that mod, mention still have bugs in it and wasnt sure if that is wise to play it. CivIV Colonization would be much better anyway.
