display problems

After the intro sequence, the screen blacks out.. how do i fix this problem??

without more info (like type of OS, video card etc) its hard to say..

could be video resolution is set wrong (try 1074*768), video drivers need updating - game needs reinstalling or a host of other things - try the technical support forum - you may find some tips there which will help. If not post a meesge there with more info - someone may be able to help!

sounds suspiciously like pphx is using windows 2000 with some older hardware.. hmmm

I had this problem before; however, they did fix it in the first (or second) patches. If you install the latest patch, your problem should be cured.

And if you have installed the latest civ3 patch try downloading the latest driver for your graphics card.
