Do Character Opinions Matter for Governors and Generals?

No idea why this just popped into my head but, as the says, do character opinions matter for generals and governors? Do you get small bonuses and so on if they like you, for example.

Yes. Character opinion level gives a combat modifier to generals (-20% to +10%) and a happiness modifier (-3 to +2) for governors.
