Do I need PLAY THE WORLD?

I'm going to get back into CIV 3 after 2 years of waiting, and I'm wondering if anyone can tell me if PLAY THE WORLD expansion pack is worth it? I'm not too rich and I don't want to spent money on something I won't need, and PTW has gotten poor reviews. Do you guys think I should get it? If I just get conquerors will I be getting the "FULL" Civ 3 experience?

Also, while I'm here, how can I sign up for DemoGame 6, and if I don't have PTW will DemoGame 6 save games work with my game?

PTW was an excellent improvement over Civ3 (vanilla).
But Conquests (C3C) includes PTW so you may as well get it instead.
Really, since C3C came out, there's no point in buying PTW, unless you can find PTW for super cheap, or if you can't get C3C.

No no no, PTW comes with C3C.

If you get C3C you also get PTW

Ok, another question, how do I sign up for demo game 6?

They're done with DG5 and are working on the constitution and other assorted stuff for DG 6.

So if DG 6 ever gets started there will be a citizen registry thread in the DG forum which you must post in.

IIRC there are some extras in PTW that couldn't be included in Conquests due to space.

There are a couple of small things left off, and you can download them from the www.civ3.com website. Click on 'Conquests Downloads', and it will have them there.

The deluxe edition contains Civ 3 original, C3C, PTW and a fan kit, just ordered this the other day, just waiting for it to arrive.
