Do resources increase terrain value?

Do terrain squares that have resources on them increase the Food, Shields, or Commerce of their sqaure? The answer is probably in the manual or somewhere on CFC, but what the hell I am lazy!!

yeh they do cant rember by how much just double click on them i know that luxuries improve sommerce so im fairly sure resources do to
