I remember awhile back gamespy started charging, si i want to know does it do the same with Ptw? I still havent bought the game but i was also wondering if 1.14f really fixes the mp problems that came with the game. I really want to buy the game but i dont want to waste my money on a non playable game.

No, unless you want extra features.
You really do not need to go to Game Spy to play. PTW ships with a "GameSpy Powered" Multiplayer interface that is totally free!
The 1.14f patch certianly did not fix everything wrong with the game, but it is definatly playable in MP or regular modes. I have had pretty good luck playing with a group of 3 human players and the rest AI. Hope this helps! Now stop waisting time and go get it, it really is fun!
