Where's the option for, I barely miss the minimum specs but can't upgrade (laptop graphics card only have 32MB memory) so I will attempt to install and play the game anyways? :p

Windows XP on a Pentium 4 2.8 Ghz with 2GB Corsair low latency ram, 256MB GeForce 6800GT, 160GB twin raided hdd for striping, and one 160GB hdd for backup, Audigy sound card... 16x DVD RW drive... How did I do??? :goodjob:

Everything's fine except one thing:

I only have a 32 MB graphics card and I don't have Hardware T&L. What happens with me? Play the game without some stuff or can't play the game at all? :(

I believe that our fates lie within the hands of Firaxis.
The following is from a game that requires and actively searches for T&L. If Civ IV does NOT, we may be OK. If it DOES, we are more than likely screwed.
Great!

You can check out some similar prob's here:

i don't meet the video card requirements for my computer and neither does the person i was buying a 2nd copy as a gift for. thus i'll just exchange the gamestop credit for another game.

64 MB graphics card with Hardware T&L (GeForce 2/Radeon 7500 or better)

I have Ati Radeon 7200 64Mb. I Dont know if that is ok?

I meet all of the requirements except for processor speed. It is 1 ghz not 1.2. What effect do you think that will have on gameplay? Slower than dirt? I don't want to have to upgrade just for the game...

How would I know what my system specs are? I mean where exactly would you find them in your computer?
If you have directx installed (which you do if Civ3 runs), do a Start->Run->"dxdiag"

That'll give you the info.

I would meet the minimum if i had teh damn graphics card.

Alas, I meet them all but one. My Video Card has HT&L, but only 32MB. I'm not going to upgrade though. I'm just going to hope I can get the game to work.

My computer is 3+ years old, the only thing I've upgraded is the video card (about 6 months ago), and I still meet recomended requirements. This game is not very demanding on a system, people who are complaing should check the required specks for the new FPS games.

I barely pass everything except the video card where I failed. Can I just get a new video card?

I have a RAGE 128 PRO.
