If so how often?

Haven't played this for ... hmm?!

Ah, never even had it.

play at least once a month, have had it since release, one of three games never uninstalled (the others Civ III with expansions and Battlefield 2

Heh, had it installed for ages, and about two weeks ago I suddenly had a call to Pirates and now I'm finishing my second walkthrough on Swashbuckler. VERY entertaining, only music has to be changed (got too repetitive) and it's still a brilliant game.

I remember that I could complete first time only because my PC was not up to requirements, so whole game was running slow and thanks to that I had a lot of extra time during combat or dance

Still, I have a soft spot for the original Pirates!, and as much as I like the remake I wish it wasn't so children-directed, with that cartoonish graphics, no blood etc. Oh well, can't have everything I guess...

P.S. Sid Meier is the only game creator I trust, therefore I just bought SMAC with Crossfire for 5pounds on Amazon and soon will be enjoying Mr Meier's genius once more, since after three years of constant playing in CIV I'm a bit worn-out on that subject. So SMAC comes next, oh yessss....

Reinstalled it a few months ago and really enjoyed it.

I tried to get a ship of the line, but got too old in the end and had to quit.

Still an awesome game. Until it came out I would still play Pirates! Gold every now and then (when I felt like configuring Dosbox etc)

I play every now and then, usually twice per year or so. Never stops being fun sinking Spanish ships.

 Vista won't install it.

I used to play it all the time on my old XP

I haven't gone back to it since the first few months after buying it sadly.
