[GS] Does aurora still appear post-GS?

I've seen posts mentioning that they hadn't seen aurora in Civ6 since GS. Is this an actual issue, or the result of pure chance?

I saw them frequently pre-GS, but come to think of it, I haven’t seen them in GS. I have seen the desert and tundra/snow winds, but no auroras. I hope they did not get lost in the shuffle.

I really liked that effect in pre-GS. I hadn't noticed their absence but now you mention it I haven't seen them since the expansion came out. Now I am sad

I haven't seen them since GS either.
I blame the increased sea ice and relative shrinking of Snow tiles.
