Does Civ4 run on this Laptop?

sorry guys, i know the minspecs page but i dont know much about laptop hardware performance. my brother wants to buy a new laptop and doesnt know if the game will run properly. so here we are:

CPU: Core2Duo Mobile (or what ever it is called) 1,6GHz
RAM: 1gig
Gfx: Intel Graphics Media Accelerator 950 (-> http://www.intel.com/products/chipsets/gma950/ )


will this work with Civ4?

My laptop is worse in each aspect and is able to play civ.
CPU: 1,4GHz Centrino
RAM 512 MB
Gfx: Intel 855
Still, you're likely to get slowdowns on larger maps / later eras.
I guess what matters is how do you define "run properly". Unless high details / highest animation / really smooth gameplay is really necessary for you, it should work just fine.

Civ runs on my Celeron 1.5 ghz, 768 mb ram, intel 915 graphics (all lower specs than yours) so it should run on fine on yours. Its not great, and all settings low, but its absolutely playable on smaller maps.

Note however, that intel graphics has several limitations when it comes to 3d graphics - don't expect performance like a dedicated ati or nvidia gpu.
