Does Civilization III work on Windows 10?

So I bought this CD of Civilization III almost 10 years ago, and I've been playing it again lately, as my 15 year old brain has finally had the mental capacity to understand the game.
However, I have lately upgraded to Windows 10, and as my Civilization III was bought in a CD so long ago, Steam cannot offer any support. I don't wanna open up my 10 year old Vista laptop to play Civ III...
So does it work on Windows 10? The resolution seems screwed. Only the middle part of the screen is working. The sides are all black, and the menu is blocked completely.
