Currently I play with all 5 VC enabled. I was considered cutting it down to 1 or 2 to see if the endgame became more interesting. Has anyone tried this and what has been your experience?

I used to turn off diplomatic and cultural victories when I was trying to get scientific victory with Poland and I did not notice any serious changes in AI's behavior.

I also tried turning off other VC and it didn't seem to change AI behavior, at least not in an obvious manner.

it actually decreases competition, cultural civ will get lost in a dom game, an vice versa, you can counter it by manually choose a more alinged civs, such as aztec + zulu + japan and other warmonger on a dom only game, or puts babylon and korea on a sci only game.
