Greetings folks!

Ive looked through a couple of recent pages of this forum but failed to notice if the're any OCC games being played?
If so, pray where? and if not what's the chance of setting one up just as a nice aside to bring back the 'ol spirit of OCC! :)

An aside: Unfortunately ( and extremely frustrating to say the least  i might add, the search functions on these vBulletins dont allow 3 letter word searches...kinda senseless considering how many 3 letter acronyms are used in these games . Hence my searches have'nt revealed much on OCC happenings here on CFC, save what ive come across whilst browsing the forums.

Thanks

Welcome to CFC. :)

We don't have GOTM games that are specifically done as OCC games, but we do have some GOTM games where people have played them as OCC games.

In the Civ 2 General Discussion and Strategy forums there have been a couple OCC challenges posted. The most recent one being for a size 1 OCC game.

Thanks for the welcome DoM :goodjob:

Im a member on the 'other' civ site too and must say i am impressed with the level of detail these CIV 2 forums contain wrt strategy and the way it is presented by many posters. Ive found it very illuminating and handy to say the least...:)

Great stuff! Hope to spend more time here.....

Hello again, paradox. Most GOTMs can be played as One City Challenges (that will get the search!); when DoM posts the GOTM26 results you will see that I played it as OCC. GOTM23 was also a challenging start for OCC. In the results rankings there is a separate color for people who played OCC. If you look back through the spoiler threads you should see people declaring their intent as part of their logs. One thing to note about CFC GOTM is that caravan rehoming is allowed. See the "Tricks and Cheats" thread by Starlifter.

I believe a lot of players with limited time choose to play their GOTM as a OCC - I know I have. Playing OCC requires less time to play, as you don't need to micromanage 20+ cities, but rather just the one.
