Does purge the unfaithfull affect vassals?

As the title says - does anybody know?
Also, is there anyway to break a vassal off from a rival nation?

No clue about Purge. Just build a couple priests and give them inquisition instead, so you can selectively purge other religions.

As far as breaking off a vassal... I don't think there's a way short of war. Going to war will obviously allow you to break them up by either vassalizing them both, or taking enough of the master's land for the 50% limits to be met.

Already do the inquisitor method was jsut curious if i could time a conquest, vassalage cycle with a purge for a quick hammer blow win!
