Patch: current [The sticky provides no information as to how to determine one's patch level]

When a DOF expired all deals were cancelled and in particular the "Your RA with X was cancelled because you are now at war" was displayed. We were not in, in fact, at war.

I have a screenshot and save file (on another computer) if they are of interest.

The patch level is displayed on the home screen after the game is started.

In order to verify the bug, it's necessary to have a save-file from just before the expiry of the DOF. Without this save-file, the bug cannot be replicated, and thus cannot be fixed.

Preferably with some steps that you took in order to replicate the problem (e.g. in this case just before you end your turn).

Thanks.

Obviously the player is most unlikely to have that. This sounds like a bug denial mechanism. I'll just complain about bugs in general instead of here.

Thanks.

Sorry you feel that way. The autosave mechanism allows you to take an autosave every round (I've personally set the history to every round, keep 15).

Nobody is denying that you experienced what you say you experienced. However, in order to fix a problem, it needs to be reproduced. There's probably a very specific set of circumstances that lead to your observation. The developers, testers and wider community haven't experienced this (very often), so in order for a developer to fix this, we cannot ask them to just randomly play a few games and see if they also get this DOF/DOW issue you reported. Yes, they could just have a look at the code and see if they find anything suspicious, but that still doesn't guarantee that the problem won't reappear because they cannot test it without a demonstration case.

It seems like a DoW.
Are we sure the DOF expired and wasn't cancelled due to the DoW?

There was a fix that cancelled DoF when DoW occured to prevent DoF from 'expiring' while two civs are already at war.

If it is the AI that DoW, then it was a backstab move (fake friends, until they attack). It's a known 'feature' that when the AI is being deceptive and pretending to be your friend, you can pretty much trade with them like your friend. I suppose a DoF is included in those preferential trades.
