I thought we needed a declaration of friendship in order to trade now? I am finding this to be not true, I can trade luxuries without a DOF.....Did i miss understand this?

You need a DoF to trade lump sums of gold. So no more selling someone your luxury and accept payment in advance before you attack him, unless you're willing to tae the massive diplo hit from backstabbing your friends.

It will massively increase it. Now, to get the quickest bang for your buck, you need to work to be friends with the AI, rather than just having access to everything right off the bat.

I don't know whether to be happy because the game is less abuse-prone or mad because that was my favorite form of abuse.
