So, I have my continent to myself after taking out Inca and Arabia. There are 4 other civs on the other continent. I am Spain and have caravels, conquistadors and cannons. I am number 1 in soliders and tech.

I am thinking about a domination victory as I usually play science.

What is the best way to play it from here? King difficulty, by the way.

Thanks! :)

EDIT: I have attached the file (with DLC), if anyone wants to look. I know I have a lot of unimproved land around my original cities, getting round to that now, was too occupied with the wars. Lol.

I think that you shold try out the domination victory type. When you already have one continent for your self, i think it would be smart (;

I have tried to win domination on continents with Harald Bluetooth. It is very fun.

(you could also save the game and first win domination. After that go back to your save game and then win sceience!)

The "thanks! :)" in your message... Is that a answar or did you originally wrote that???

Develop more advanced techs along the navigation path - you probably want to get to Frigates to help with bombarding enemy cities and units. Make sure to send enough troops in one go to be sure of holding the cities you capture long enough to develop them, since reinforcements tend to be slow. If possible, you might want to try allying with one of the civs on the other continent (or more than one) so that you don't get attacked by everyone at once, and perhaps get help in your own attacks. If there are already ongoing wars there, side with one of the protagonists. Buying the favour of CSes on that continent might also give your enemies something to focus on when you declare war.

I just had a quick look at the save and I would also go for domination...from what you can see right now Greece is fairly weak and there are 2 CS on the east shore. Prepare a decent invasion force, at this stage you probably don't even need more than 1 naval unit to scout barb ships and then ally both CS so you can land your force and position them...bring at least 4 canons and position them behind you troops facing inland towards Greece...declare war

let your allies deal with the incoming Greek...use ranged units wisely until the first wave dies down...move in and take first city...deal with the second wave of troops...after that go for the capital...take all of Greece but leave them their smallest city. Annex capital, rush courthouse, build/buy army to conquer next weakest civ...repeat...win Domination

Tipps:
-raze any city unless they have new luxuries or recources you need
-cripple their economies, thus cripple the civ so that they can't recover to be a threat to you but there is no need to destroy the whole civ
-if your army is large or technological advanced enough, go straight for the capitol and ignore their other cities

EDIT: keep an eye on the unhappyness...don't let if fall below -10 as it then affects you fighting abilities...never let if fall below 20 as then you unit strengs is seriously #$&%! Build happyness wonders in your home civ...try to breed GEs to rush important wonders...happyness is a SERIOUS problem if you go for domination...a quick fix is always to annex puppets and rush couthouse, rush happyness buildings so you'll want to have a very well working economy...keep an eye on your money flow...you'll need a lot of it...

Cheers everyone. I think I made a mistake puppetiing everything I came across. It make the domination attempt feel much too slow due to the happiness issues.

nah, not really...because the one continent you have now will be your treasure house...lots of puppets = lots of cash...

I didn't look at you SPs but when I play domination I usually only finish Liberty for the free GS and then go Rationalism left side for the 2 free techs...so in the late game I don't need culture anyway so it's no harm to annex puppets to reduce unhappiness...

If you go for domination on continents there are two different strategies for the two continents. For the first you want a lot of cities to generate tech and beakers...well the second one if as I described above
