don't know where to find serial number

I just got the civilization 3 complete (for macs) but don't know where to find the serial number so i can start playing. i've looked all over for info but can't find anything.

Is the game asking you for the serial number? It's been some time since I installed mine, but I don't recall needing a serial number.

I had the game of the year edition of Civ 3 before and it didn't ask me for a serial number, but i just installed the complete one and when i open up the application it tells me to "please enter your serial number into the box below."

miacrow, I really wish I could be more help. I've only installed the game once, so I don't know the answer to your questions. I suggest running a search or two through this forum. You might be the only one who's ever run into the problem, but that would surprise me. Good luck!

Well miacrow, you did say you have a Mac, right? Try asking in the Civ3 - Macintosh forum, someone there might know. I'm guessing everyone else here uses PC's with some version of Windows, and I've never heard of Civ3 asking anyone for a serial number when running on Windows. I have Civ3 Complete (from Civilization Chronicles) as well as the individual disks, and I've never had to enter a serial. Is it asking you that for registration or to actually run the game?

yeah, i'm going to try the mac forum. i searched for it and another person had the same problem as me but that thread got shut down before he got an answer. the game is asking me for a serial number to actually start playing, not to register.

I also do not know where to find the serial number on the box copy of CIV 3 complete. I tried every alphanumeric sequence I could find on the box and disc itself. I have gone through SOOO much trying to get this game. If anyone knows, please let me know.

And it is asking for the serial number at the installation stage.

By CD cover has a sticker on the back with the 20+ alphanumeric digits serial number.
