Are you delusional? All I said was give Civ 5 a chance. Is this some odd definition of hype that I do not understand? If anything you guys are doing the opposite of what you said and demeaning a game that hasn't been released yet, while praising civ 1 to the highest.

Heh... I think at some moments it was more immersive then Civ2.

Civ2 had wonder movies and funny advisors, I give it that, but Civ1 had civilizations leaders (Stalin or Ghengis smile was priceles), building and wonders animations (when completed), as well as decent looking city view, conquest and unrest animations. And not to forget research completed screen. And the newspapers. Or intro video (which was later copied in Civ4, as homage).

Yes, it was very immersive for its time.
