Doomed Galactic Journey (Game Thread)

Crate to Love, please I don't think there's anything truly dangerous in there, but I have a small concern about one of the possible items going to a human.

Because Love has a Kiwifruit, I think he should have the crate of chemicals. And Renata can have the SMG

"how can you all be so cavalier about distributing a firearm? am I missing something here? I know that I said that if I were to be executed I'd rather want it to be fast but... sheesh."

Dawn looks at Renata out of the corner of her eye and tries to detect anything unusual. Later on it hits her that maybe she should have paid more attention to the people who actually cast the votes....

One little (OOC: PM) question about why you voted for CCRunner, and this is what you turn around and do?

There is the option of throwing you out of the airlock instead, Dawn. ;)

which is precisely what I voted for in the first place. oh, wait... I had voted for the gun, erm... but kidding aside. is there something I am not getting? if there is I am sure you won't be telling me.

@Renata OOC: <deleted> misunderstood your post, was not directed at me.

Renata to get the oxyen, Vanguard has one already.
Also I wouldn't want to space the gun, remember there might be pirates waiting on nova Vlaxtica.

PaulusIII, you must die.

Looks at the dead bodies in solemn respect.

"Actually, I find this disturbing. Yesterday, I gave BananaLee a spare tank of oxygene, per Renata's suggestion. Now the same two people are voting to have the firearm in the hands of Renata. I am not at all comforted by this, so I want to throw out the smg, and Execute Renata instead of PaulusIII unless they come up with a really ddecent explanation.

And Love can have the crate instead."

Oh, stop being so blind, Vanguard! This is not a conspiracy of Renata's! If anything, I suspect you the most of any leader. For today, I vote Paulus, but if rebels still exist tomorrow, there will be no-one left to suspect.

"On what basis do you suspect me, oh wise anti-rebel expert. You seem to have been silent while I rooted out Ronin and Nictel, and I don't recall you helping catch Abgar either, despite evidence. I think there are plenty of people more suspicious than me, You being one of them, definately.

All I'm saying is I am not safe landing the weapon in the hands of Renata, even if she is innocent, the thief could still be around. Better no-one has it than she has."

Do I understand it correctly, that nobody has so far expressed the desperate need for a Oxygen Tank? Vanguard and Renata have said they like to have it, but I didn't understand this to mean they will die when they do not get one unlöess something surprising happens once more.

For me that would mean, that everybody of the breathing people still has an 36 hours of air left. In that case I would vote to divide the tankls as evenly as possible.

In this case we, if we are wrong and Paulus isn't the killer he cannot kill one person and take 2 tanks away from us. Therefore I would suggest to gibve the tank to an Android.

As I also said before the SMG might still be useful when we reach our goal so I vote it to Renata.

I also don't care for the Synthesizer and am willing to give it to Lightfang.

Chemicals can go to Love.

No, I didn't say I'd like the air tank. I agree with your assessment of the situation for us humans. However, Vanguard is apparently suffering from paranoia above the average and would like some insurance. Given that his actions yesterday most likely saved one additional innocent from death by suffocation, I see no reason not to offer it to him. Besides, I promised to try.

As for the SMG -- well, I am gambling that Abgar was the only one on board who had the ability to steal. I'm willing to take the risk that I'm wrong about that in order to get the SMG tonight to someone who needs to be protected, in case we're all wrong about PaulusIII and there is still a killer among us.

"In that case, we don't want any weapons lying around. You might not expect this from a military man, but I think it makes common sense that no weapons means no kills. On the controverse, lots of weapons means lots of kills. So let's get rid of the SMG, alright?"

On the contrary, with the exception of the early beheadings, I don't think any of the deaths were done with weapons at all. Wouldn't it be a good idea for innocents to be able to defend themselves?

"When sleeping at night? Besides, the killings have stopped, for now at least. We should do our best to root out whoever is still a threat to our journey, but obviously we are not in imminent danger any more. The oxygene is depleted and there is but a short distance to the Colony, so the saboteurs have less to gain now.

Still, it is imperative to me as guard and captain of the ship to arrive without any threats remaining on board."

All of that is just window-dressing for the fact that you've decided you don't trust me, Vanguard. You can't be sure an SMG would not be protective against a killer; it has yet to be tested. And as for the saboteurs' hypothetical motives for doing nothing? Unless you know more about them than I do, you can't be sure about that, either.

I don't understand you, Diamondeye. I'm holding up my end of our bargain -- so far, even despite you accusing me. Are you trying to get me to vote the oxygen to someone else? Are you just paranoid? Or do you have motives none of the rest of us know about?
