Doomed Galactic Journey (Game Thread)

Reallly, I kept to my plan, which was "Pay-no-att-en-tion-to-the-an-droid-be-hind-the-cur-tain-with-sill-ly-speak-ing-patt-ern-he-is-clear-ly-no-threat"
Speaking of this, next time I'm a wolf, the person with the speech impediment is the first to die!

And yes, I was the secret votes. Ironically, I swung Diamondeye the leadership because Renata worked with Abgar who struck me as ultra-suspicious (so maybe I'm developing a nose). Then when people tried to stop androids getting batteries with nonsense about "studying" the battery, I felt my suspicions confirmed. I really didn't trust renata till the last few days as a result, which is why my secret votes tended to go with the diamondeye faciton, despite his seemingly random targeting and retargetting (which tendency convinced me CCRunner was guilty and pauls inocent right until the oxygen ran out!)
For the record, I didn't propose to give myself the battery. LightFang voted for me first, and the scientists wanted one in the first place. But, I was trying to find a way to get the battery, LightFang just happened to vote for me first, and I knew I had a chance to grab an item. During the first few days we scientists kept in touch a lot trying to coordinate votes. Of course, I was also talking to PaulusIII at the same time.

Funny how that works out. I knew Ronin was a Rebel by that point, but he was the only one I'd scanned, so I couldn't tell anyone. Only excuse I could think of to keep a battery away from him -- I really was worried it might be usable as a bomb trigger -- was to convince the scientists to try for it.

I knew Ronin was a Rebel by that point, but he was the only one I'd scanned, so I couldn't tell anyone.

Man, that was some first 24hrs for Ronin...

First he (unknowingly) accuses a fellow wolf, then you scan him, I steal his battery, and he kills me, putting his battery up for the vote (along with my spare). :crazyeye:

And to make it even more convoluted, the reason I chose him to scan was the coincidence of his votes being the only ones to align with the secret ones -- it wasn't like I had any real leads at that point, so I just picked someone who was at least likely to be an interesting innocent if they weren't guilty.

mergle, I'm beginning to think this whole game was your fault. :p

Ah and I almost forgot:

Thanks for the good GMing Splime. Updates were well written and on time, and the online voting chart rocked :-).

I second Kulko's feedback. Excellent GMing without procrastinations.

Oh and some of the players of this game might be interested in my Mini-NOTW aswell. Link in sig [/Shamelessselfplug]

Thirded; that online voting chart was amazing.

Fourthed; everything ran very smoothly and there were a few great twists without things seeming arbitrary.

Thanks guys, I for one would be very happy if this online voting chart thing caught on, assuming it got updated regularly enough.

Also, if anyone's wondering what the "project" I mentioned earlier is, here it goes: At my school, we can spend the last 5 weeks on something called a "Senior Independent Study (SIS)" which can be anything from an internship somewhere to an independent project. I am working with a friend on a downloadable computer game, and you can track its progress here. So what does it have to do with DGJ? Space Pirates.

More details should be up soon (like, tomorrow) but feel free to check the site out now. We'll also need some game testers in a couple of weeks.

I never got my PM of my ability!!! :(

Meh, wouldn't have made much difference.

Why was i killed so early? :( :(
