I think it's foolish to count on trying for a tie when we may well have a Rebel locked up even now and hence powerless. Not when there is absolutely no way to guarantee such a tie with secret votes in play. And though I highly doubt all the secret votes are Rebels, who's to say what their motives might be with regards to CCRunner and PaulusIII? Would any of you trust me, for instance, not to save CCRunner if the choice was between both of them dying and only PaulusIII doing so?
Keep them both powerless for another night. Force any remaining Rebels to show their hand in the darkness, if they exist. And tomorrow ...
Well, tomorrow is another story, isn't it? Because I don't know if the low air supply is factoring into anyone's calculations here, but I fail to see how two more units spared will save us; there will still not be enough to last everyone through the night. I can't swear to how it all works, but I believe there may be enough supplemental air tanks on board so that if those of us who have them use them, the rest may still live on the ship's air until morning. (OOC: Splime seemed to imply that's how it would work, but I'm not positive.) But after that, nothing will save those who cannot acquire a supply, not even that mythical beast known as the double execution.
(OOC: My math: 21 units left. There should be 15 air breathers on board, but only 14 units were used up last night, so something's strange there. But in any case, assume we leave the two in quarantine and kill someone else. That should mean another 14 units today, leaving 7 for the night, with 13 people needing air. I know of at least six supplemental tanks -- if Splime has everyone who owns one automatically use it tonight, as he seemed to imply, then there will be enough ship air left for the rest to survive as well. But only until morning.)
