Doomed Galactic Journey (Game Thread)

Keep the Quarantine to be able to contain the killer. We can still vote to kill CCRunner to start saving Oxygen.

So it is important that we know who has those vials. We're starting to get sicker and sicker here. Who is the thief?

I say to find out about this, we need to remove quarantine rules and perhaps execute two people at once?

(OOC: I don't think it works that way, BananaLee. See my response to scherbchen up above.)

I tentatively vote to keep the quarantine.

"Let's get rid of quarantine and execute CCRunner. With a tie we can even get rid of them both at once. Saves us oxygene. Anyone with info about the thief should speak up."

Can the quarantine, lads. It's the only way to survive.

Let's drop the quarantine. It's a risk, but we need to take risks at this point to have any chance to survive. It won't kill the two people we currently have quarantined, but it'll let us kill two suspects today. It doesn't look like it'll be enough to save us, but we have to try. As to who should be executed, I'll hold my votes for now.

How-doesa-it-let-us-kill-two?-you-need-a-plur-al-i-ty-of-votes-to-kill

{OOC: You need a plurality of votes to kill. That means the person with the largest number of votes will be killed. Splime hasn't said what happens with ties - it could be neither or both. But with secret votes in play we can't even guarantee a tie}

"Mergle, tying the votes between two people would send them both to execution. It will be hard with the secret votes though."

(OOC: Splime has said what happens in the event of a tie).

{OOC: Sorry, you're right. Missed that on first reading. But the secret votes points stands}

"Hm... The secret votes do make that plan tough to pull off. If more of the secret voters are rebels (or whatever) than are loyalists, they could throw the vote whichever way they wanted to save their ally. But, we've already killed two rebels. If there's just one left, then I don't see him commanding a majority of the secret votes."

I think it's foolish to count on trying for a tie when we may well have a Rebel locked up even now and hence powerless. Not when there is absolutely no way to guarantee such a tie with secret votes in play. And though I highly doubt all the secret votes are Rebels, who's to say what their motives might be with regards to CCRunner and PaulusIII? Would any of you trust me, for instance, not to save CCRunner if the choice was between both of them dying and only PaulusIII doing so?

Keep them both powerless for another night. Force any remaining Rebels to show their hand in the darkness, if they exist. And tomorrow ...

Well, tomorrow is another story, isn't it? Because I don't know if the low air supply is factoring into anyone's calculations here, but I fail to see how two more units spared will save us; there will still not be enough to last everyone through the night. I can't swear to how it all works, but I believe there may be enough supplemental air tanks on board so that if those of us who have them use them, the rest may still live on the ship's air until morning. (OOC: Splime seemed to imply that's how it would work, but I'm not positive.) But after that, nothing will save those who cannot acquire a supply, not even that mythical beast known as the double execution.

(OOC: My math: 21 units left. There should be 15 air breathers on board, but only 14 units were used up last night, so something's strange there. But in any case, assume we leave the two in quarantine and kill someone else. That should mean another 14 units today, leaving 7 for the night, with 13 people needing air. I know of at least six supplemental tanks -- if Splime has everyone who owns one automatically use it tonight, as he seemed to imply, then there will be enough ship air left for the rest to survive as well. But only until morning.)

We should also easily be able to keep one of the Suspects locked up and kill the other. That should be possible even against the secret votes if everybody plays his part.

And to assume we can kill more than 1 person against the secret votes seems very optimistic to me. But when we open the Quarantine we have a 50-50 chance of letting the killer roam again, who might then damage the ship further.

PS: Can the mythical person who repaired the engine go to work on the Oxygen Supply? Maybe we can generate enough new oxygen per day to keep a few more people alive.

No body else seems like they're inclined to do it, so here I go--

Abgar has been specifically scanned as "Not Innocent", possibly some sort of pirate guy. Pirate => theif => maybe he has the stolen vaccine some of you need? Sucks that I can't vote... bolded anyway for emphasis

You're just trying to save your skin and get revenge because I voted against you last night. (OOC:Also can you talk or vote in quarantine?)

I vote we keep quarantine and vote for CCRunner for trying to frame me.

"Kulko, the oxygene generator is unrepairable. The ship has an auxiliary air tank, though... I wonder if the computer takes that into account when the air reserves are counted..."

"Thank you, Abgar. You scientists do have more hold of that technical stuff than me. Glad that some of you are still alive and well. Abgar, do you have any oxygene for when the auxiliary tank is dead?"

It's not a frame, Abgar.

I am also acknowledged of the scan and support CCrunner and vote on Abgar.

Abgar, either your lying about your stolen stuff or you are correct. But i know you aren't innocent.
