Double your Framerate for NVIDIA cards

Question, how do you revert back to normal settings? I was playing around with the options, and now it wont just go back to normal when I changed the Shader to 'default'. Pretty much now, some resources are hidden by the trees also.

Umm, not sure - this is the first time I'm using the program.

I saw no change at all in the world map when I moved the slider over.

Thanks for the response, Arkayne. Before I read your answer, I downloaded nVHardPage SE, and was able to use that instead of rivatuner. After I reverted the shaders to 1.1, the game played great for about six turns; then it became super-sluggish again :(

Have you tried playing with your nvidia drivers? That's what seems to have fixed my problems with sluggish play and frequent CTD's.

Excellent post! I really needed this boost in framerates -- now I can really enjoy the game!

Yes, using Rivatuner worked for me, reverting the shaders to 1.1. Now the game flows like the water animations in the rivers -- smoothly! I jumped from an average of 17-20fps to about a consistent 30fps, sometimes going as high as 43fps!! Sure, it chuggs a bit when the CPU makes its rounds w/ the AI players, but that's OK in my book. Overall, I really needed this and now I'm playing the game with the vigor I had before it slowed to a crawl!! :D
