I think its supposed to replace infantry for French, but there is no explanation how to install it. I somehow managed to install some modifications, like modified pollution(with skulls in it and i think not bright orange), fantasy advisors and some other fun stuff, and i even extracted russian settler(havent tested it out yet) in a map so not sure how it will work but might and then i stook up to this. Russian settler had folder name "RussianSettler" and there went all the files, but this one doesnt even have folder, its just plain 20 files of stuff. So do i create a folder named "Chauchat" somewhere in units folder or what? Or should i just extract it to "Infantry" folder?

P.S. I really think some1 in the staff should make a link at file download screen with explanation how to install, or at least include in faq - i checked out faq, theres only info about how to MAKE mods and how to upload them, not how to install and use...

A .rar file is like a .zip file, I don't know what the difference is, but the concept is the same. You have to get the correct program to unpack the file. I had one on my other computer, but it does not work on this one, I have to unpack it on that computer and move it back to this one. I've had to do this much more, since most of the good unit makers are now using it. As I've said, I don't know the difference, but the .rar files are much moer annoying.

A program that works good is WINrar, I don't know where to find it free though, only free trial

Winrar trial can be used forever. It's just that you get annoying prompt whenever you load it. You can get around it by doing "extract here" when extracting rar files.

OP - Usually a file comes with a read-me. If not you can always go to modification forum and find out what you need to do there.

The program that I use on my other comp. is Total Commander. One of my friends gave it to me and it has become very useful.

The download link for CamJh's magnificent Asha'man unit is broken.i have alerted the moderators. if the link cannot for some reason be repaied could someone who has that unit perhaps repost it or if not maybe mail me a copy of the file. i would really appreciate it. thanks.
