Dropping the Bomb in Civ6

Even though I've never been to Hiroshima, I get what you mean: I only used a nuke once, and not even because I needed to. I just wanted to see what happened. And then the animation of the explosion appeared and "Field of poppies" started being played in the background. It was horrifying. I know, you have to do a lot of horrifying things during a game, but, as you said, this felt very graphic and touching.
Honestly, I'm the exact opposite. I drop the bomb, enjoy the explosion and when it's gone I fantasize about the many virtual people who have just lost their lives at my hands. Then the bloodlust starts and you be sure until the end of the game there will always be a nuke somewhere in my production orders.

A nuke that hasn't been dropped is a wasted nuke. And I hate wasting.

What I like the most is the sense of tension of (hopefully) avoiding a nuclear war like the Cuban missile crisis. I am hoping civ6 will deliver this feeling in the late game.

that is THE MOST AMAZING NUKE... IN A CIV GAME... EVER... seriously I didnt use nukes much in Civ V because the range was WAY to short and they weren't very impressive, but this THIS is amazing. Im so happy I pre-ordered deluxe (at a discount):D

Silo's look like they're a good reason to have a couple military engineers around while having access to a couple uranium resources: if on the receiving end of a nuclear strike, plonk down silo's and retaliate in the same turn.

I hope Russia gets a TZAR bomba UU, can't wait to purge the land with nuclear fire!
That was the one dropped from a bomber, and even with a parachute nearly blew the bomber out of the sky because it couldn't clear the area quick enough? The blast was felt hundreds of miles away...

I prefer (in civ 5) trying to get Manhattan project and a few Nukes to go, then requesting ban nukes in UN so nobody else can make them :)
I doubt that AA guns can stop a thermonuclear missile, my bet they provide protection against bombers only.
