Dual-display support?

I have an old extra monitor here that I am messing with 2 displays(trialling it to see if it is worth buying a second high-quality display). Civ 4 would be a considerable factor in this. Does anyone know if the game has any dual-display specific features? I remember hearing some alluded to before release, and I could certainly imagine civ having quite a few uses for it.

Well it's fairly friendly with different dual-monitor setups. Right now I am running it in a window, but at the same resolution as one of my monitors, so that it takes up the entire screen. So it looks pretty much identical to having it full-screened on one monitor. But since it's windowed it's WAY WAY faster if I want to browse on the other monitor or whatever.

But it does support lots of custom resolutions and you could get it spanned across both monitors.

For me, dual monitor is for browsing, chatting etc WHILE you play, not for devoting both monitors to a single app, but that's up to each of us hehe.

What I wish more games would support is dragging components of the interface onto the second monitor. Imagine in an MMORPG if you could have an always open full inventory window off-screen.

If I turn on dual display, when I move my mouse toward the second display to scroll the screen in that direction, nothing happens. If I continue moving my mouse toward the second monitor, it will just jump to the second monitor. I can scroll the screen in the other three directions. What do I do to overcome this?

That's just how it works. If you play it in a window there is NO scrolling when moving the mouse to the edges.

I use the arrow keys on the keyboard, or just click around on the main map or the mini-map.

You can turn on edge scrolling in a window. It doesn't scroll when you "hit" the the edge of course, the mouse continues. But if you leave the mouse hovering within a short distance of the edge, it will scroll.
