When I saw the original post above, I immediately thought about going for 20k. With the tech lead that you have, the game for sure seems winnable. Biggest issue is the slow tech pace of research. I'd actually prefer Carthage over the Byzantines for this sort of map for 20k, since prebuilding is possible, and they sometimes can get The Pyramids with a start like this... though not with America in the game looking closer at the opponents list.

Why are you researching Feudalism though? Are you looking to invade with knights? Good luck with invasions if you are going for conquest/domination!

Have no experience with 20k. Anyway AIs got/will get all wonders first. Knights not necessary on Archipelago. Picks + IMs good enough.

It always bugged me, that I cannot determine what Larkin meant by im's. Only two units I know of are immortals and Impi. Neither are Byz units. Spoonwood, do you know?

i am pretty sure, that they are autocorrected MIs. read: medieval infantry. :)
(or maybe Ivan´s everyday language is French - they use to reverse all their acronyms! :D )

Going to have to agree with templar_x on this one. Medieval Infantry.

Good guess (or like you would say gg - and this would be autocorrection safe)! :)

I would like if the civers would not use so much abreviations, especially when there is not much text in the post.

Ivan tends to use sparse language. In fact, I think the above is I. Larkin´s longest post I have ever seen! ;D

Actually played till 710 AD. Still at war with America. Research Astronomy .Mongols above Chem, Rep and Chiv, but they have no Education.

It's ok. If the Mongols had Education, they would just quote the Paris Medical Faculty about the causes of The Great Mortality being caused by astrological phenomena.
