Editing a pre-existing mod

So i have warlords 2.08 and the modern warfare mod. i played the previous version and it was sweet. but for some reason the artillery bombardment has been disabled for all units except aircraft. i think that was a stupid and unrealistic change and was wondering how i turn the bombardment back on. i like all the units this mod has and the fact that it transitions from ww1 armor to modern armor in 4 stages instead of three..because after all they didnt stop developing tanks at 1950 and then come up with the abrams in 1980
