Editing the save

Hello everyone.

Ive been playing in a PBEM game for a few weeks now and weve realised that editing the save would make things alot easier. The thing that puzzles me most is how you edit cities from one civ to another, ie for a peace deal which the game engine doesnt support. Ill appreciate any help youre able to give me, thanks in advance.

Is your current method involve going into cheat mode, creating a dip for bribing, bribing, and restoring the gold to the briber?

This could be done by hex-editing the SAV file, but that job is only trivial if no units are involved.

Try Yaroslav's Civ2Dip. It's for MGE. I've never used it, but according to the documentation, it can manage city and unit trades.

Gotta be better than hex-editing.

Civ Diplomacy tends to work better than Civ2Dip IIRC.
