Editing Units - Graphics

I am about to start creation of a scenario and was wondering what I should use to create my units. I only have paintbrush which is somewhat crap so I was wondering what other people have. I can't afford to go out and spend money on adobe photoshop or the like and especially when it is hust for use to create some civ graphics. Are there any good free programs that people use to create their units?

I mostly just use graphics other people have made, since i dont have a graphics program either. Almost any thing you can think of has already been created.

I use normal paint to make my units.

I dont got the money too spend on expensive programs either so i download them and do whatever i can. I got the new adobe 7.0 full version off Kazza you can jus type in adobe and look for one with the serial with it. it is worth it if you have a dsl or cable modem.jope this helps
