Editor: Citizen/Building Defensive Bonus?

The editor shows defensive bonuses of 16 for "citizens" and "buildings". What does that mean???

Also, a couple other small questions:
- What is the default money resource?
- What is the point of assigning characteristics (expansionistic, scientific, etc.) to improvements and wonders?
 
SirJehtro...... :nono: I would have though you'd know to psot this either in newbie Qs or FAQ.....

characteristics: you can get a Golden Age from Wonders. For that, you need to build wonders that fit your traits. Assigning 'expansionist' to a wonder means that it will count towards Golden Age for expansionist civs.

Killer i saw that you have 4, and it say it is default value, but default value now is 16. Did you mod it.

BTW i lower it back to 4 like it was in 1.07. Now catapult worth something, and bomber hit most of the time unsteed of missing all time.
 
Tassadar: I didn't mod, but the help file wasn't updated, so I have 16 there but the help file still says 4.....

I suggest to you lower it to 4, because at 16 it mean a city full of citizen, without sam missile and without fighter, have greater power(16) then a bomber ( 8) it make no sens at all.

And do you think catapult with 4 attack can do something to a 16 defense in old time ? Catapult was use especialy to lay siege to city, so it is totaly ridiculous that a city have a greater firepower for defense than a catapult attacking power.

In version 1.07 it was 4 by default but a dumb ass at firaxis increase that to 16 to lower bombardement accuracy:eek: :confused: Talk about a stupid change.
