Egyptian Throne Room for BtS

I'm not sure if anyone else has found this or not, but there is a throne room in BtS. Or at least it's set up for one, because I found all the art for an Egyptian styled throne room. It looks as though they started making it than gave up when they realised it would be too much work (i.e making one for every single civ).

Hopefully someone can look at the nif file and the sdk to see if they can mod it in somehow. You can see where to find the file at the top of the screenshot.

There are also screenshots of Aztec and Japanese throne rooms in the Civ Fanatics gallery. Hopefully someone can make a mod.

Cool I only wish they finished it though as they spent so much time on it already.

Why couldn't they just break it down by culture group? I'm all for civ-specific things but if it meant not having it in the game, I'd relent. Surely they could've just done 5 versions like in Civ 3.

Yeah I liked mixing and matching the styles back then... always looked interesting.

Come to think of it... We already have the Asian, Mesopotamian and Mesoamerican templates above... all we really need if for someone to make European and Classical versions, and we'd be set.

We should start a petition to Firaxis to finish the throne room.

I think the Asian and Meso-American ones were just concept art though. The Egyptian one is a complete Nif file with all the pieces that you can add.

Well, maybe there are basic nifs for the other unfinished ones that we don't have. I'd like to get info from Jon Shafer or Alexman on what exactly happened with this.

Yep! Sounds like a good idea. Anyway, as long as we have one nif (which we do) it's possible to make more for each culture group. More nifs are helpful though (saves a lot of time).

My only real concern is the programming (which I know nothing about). So as soon as someone gets the Egyptian one running in game we'll have artists eager to help out.

Yeah I don't know how he copes with all that stuff. Whenever I touch any of those files I end up crashing the game or making the interface completely disappear.
