Hey guys. Long-time lurker, first-time modder.
I'm trying to develop a mod for my own use that would simply eliminate the "They think you're trying to win the game in the same way!" diplo penalty, and at least make it harder to be labeled a "warmonger".
I apologize for my noob-ness if it seems obvious how to do this, because I can't figure out where to start. The best I've come up with is to change the "warmongerhate" value for each individual leader, but I do like that some leaders are more adverse to war than others and would like to keep that variance if possible. I have no idea how to adjust the victory strategy diplo penalty.
I have thoroughly read Kael's guide but didn't find much mention of how to make changes to diplomacy. I also searched the forum, but couldn't find any straightforward directions on what the various diplomacy/leader "approach" tags actually do, nor could I find that information in the Modwiki (if it is out there, I would great appreciate a link to it).
I know there's a few rebalancing mods that make changes to diplomacy, but I'm not interested in the many other changes they make to the game.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm honestly just stuck, and could use some help or direction from the experts.
Thanks!
