Elohim Strategies -- and Alternate Palaces!

Founding your capital in a former Grigori city allows you to pump out adventurers. However, since the palace only gives 2 GP points this is only possible if you get the city early on and have not started (or barely started) pumping out great people. After a couple of Adventurers you're better of trying the civilization-wide advantages of other palaces.

I hadn't thought of that. Shouldn't you be able to build Grigori Taverns and Adventurers' Guilds too?

Adventurer's guilds are some good, even if you don't want adventurer's. Seems pretty spiffy.

I think you can. But still, usually by the time I get Currency (not to mention Merchantilism), I already have other cities with many more GPP and have produced the first GPs, so it would take quite a long time even with the (1+2)*1.40 GPP (before civics). It is definitely possible, but this is why I though it made more sense earlier in the game unless you deliberately slow down you GP production waiting for this. But still, Adventurers might be worth it...

Regards.

Anyone knows what happens if You take the city which one AI took from another earlier?
Which bonuses do You get? Last owner's only?
I am currently playing Elohim AV game in which I snapped Jubilee early. Freaks are so cool by the way...
Anyway in the world around my island big forces emerged, with Lanun taking control of Elves and finishing Sheaim with little Angels help, Calabim taking over their entire continent and Illians beefing with Hyborem which I summoned somewhere far away.
So I wonder if I take back Evermore which is Lanun's at the moment, do I get dextrous archers or boarding parties?

Boarding parties, I believe. Which shows how far guesswork will get you >.>

You get the access to units and buildings of the original founding civ.
... and you won't be able to build dextrous archers, that's a Ljosalfar racial bonus. All units built in the city should be born with the Elf promotion, though, and you can build the non-hero Ljosalfar unique units (swordsmen, flurry, frydwell). The Ljos have no unique buildings.

I wonder if it's relevant if - let's say - aformentiones elves are still in a game when you retake one of their cities or if they have been totally wiped out...

no difference. As mentioned above, it's the founding civ that counts.
