Mansa Musa is not creative, so you could think about getting Stonehenge. Also, Mansa is Spiritual, and having Pyramids is a killer combo. Both wonders are reliably possible to get even on higher difficulties. Even both.

Getting both means you are crippling your growth significantly in other areas though. So what do you do?

never build either. the pyramids cost so many hammers it slows your growth; ie u cant build settlers etc. Stonehenge is normally built so early so i never try for it

Hmm...build the Pyramids or build a dozen axemen?

I'll take the axemen...then I'll take the Pyramids :-D.

On higher difficulties, I attempt the Pyramids, if I can (stone, and/or lots of forests). I find the extra happiness (with Representation) to be the biggest benefit. When your cities are capped at like 4 or 5, due to pre-Calendar happiness limits, The Pyramids go a long way in helping you out. Being able to work 5 or 6 tiles per city, versus Pyramid-less 3 or 4, helps one keep up at these levels. Also, while it is true that The Pyramids' hammers could be turned into axemen or settlers, there is only so much expansion one can do at the higher levels, pre-CoL. I usually am able to wage this early war (taking enemy capital and maybe one other city, razing the rest) and still seek the Pyramids. And "taking the Pyramids" would always be better, but there is a lot of luck required to have it built by one of your neighbors, as opposed to the AI halfway around the world.

Of course, the higher the level, the harder it is to get the Wonder, but assuming I have a chance I go for it.
