Empty Game Folders?

So I've been playing BTS for about a month with not many technical problems (the only one is that my desktop and start menu shortcuts don't work but I don't mind.), however today when I put the disc in my computer and tried to run the game by going to "My Computer" and double clicking the disk drive the BTS icon didn't show up, but the generic application icon.

When I tried to run it all that happened was that a window named "Sid Meier's Civilization IV - Beyond the Sword" appeared in my window tray, but I couldn't view it or maximize it at all.

I then went in and checked the disc's files and the Autorun, DirectX9, and Readme folders were all empty. Are they supposed to be?

Does anyone know how I can fix this?

P.S. I'm running Vista

oops sorry for being a noob, but I just found that I can run the game by going to the "Games" folder on my computer. :ack: This is still really weird tho...

If anyone has any idea what happened though, any explaination would be greatl
