End game timer without time victory

I am playing the "Planet" scenario provided with the mod.
I am using the Custom Scenario option and have disabled the Time victory.

But suddenly, I got the 99 turns left timer.

What is that all about?

Hmm, that must be because a maximum number of turns is set in the map file. I've removed it.

A question thou, if I could modify the map file on my PC, would it break or fix my current game?

It would not affect ongoing games at all.

Anyway, I don't see the problem. When time runs out, the game always asks if you want to continue playing.
