my sister was messing with our computer and she deleted the process for civ 3, the cd seems to no longer have anything on it, is there any way i can fix this?

Using Task Manager to stop/kill a process should not affect the CD. It kills the game (no autosave; kicks it out of RAM) but that is it. What is stored on the CD/HDD is untouched.

The game should start again normally.

A 'store-bought' CD cannot be written to by a home computer. Unless the CD is pirated / created on someone's home computer, she simply did not change any data on the CD.

She might have screwed up the PC's ability to read any CD.Or she might have just screwed up the current session's CD-reading ability. Have you rebooted the PC since she did this? Will it read any other CDs?

yes we've rebooted it since then, and it can read other cd's.
I do know it's not pirated, i picked it out myself at the local walmart.

Is the CD scratched?

Have you tried the CD in another machine?
