Iron crisis solved for now. Got 2, got 5 from a trade and can still get 6 from an allied CS. Navigation will be fully researched in 10 more turns (oh the joy of playing marathon). But my longbowmen are the devil 
I got Stockolm with 2 galeasses and a trireme, moved my bowmen in tuns of 3 to the next city and did some target practice until all of them reached the 3rd promotion. I could have continued, but Boudicca declared war on him too, so I moved in before she did it.
