Here is a map of Rome and surrounding areas. Only this map has been enhanced. It now has resources, goody huts, & starting locations. When you start you also will always be rome and will start precisely where the city of Rome is located. Please click below to download!

Not a bad modification, but Rome should be about 4 tiles southeast of where it is now, and there could be a few more resources (in Italy and Greece) Something weird also happened to Sicily. Finally, I'd suggest making a start in France, Spain, Central Europe, Britain, and/or North Africa. Not to be overly critical, just trying to help make it better .

I have updated the map to include most of viper's suggestions including the fixation of the Sicily landmass. Enjoy!

Wow, first the thread is resurrected after 5 years... by the author. Then, someone's first post is pointing out the huge time gap. My brain can't take the irony.
Can we get a screenshot of this map? Some of us are pretty lazy, especially when zips are involved.
