"Enter" button

anyone know why the enter button doesn't work on screens like load game and save game? you also can't arrow up and down these menus either.

yes...but it was quicker before to use the keyboard....i just bought C3C today and it's the first thing that's annoying me

Its not much of a hassle to use a mouse on the menus whilst playing the game with keys...

Personally, i'm a fan of the mouse as my main input device when playing civ3 all though I would be all for my own personal 52 inch touchscreen LCD .

I actually play Civ just like an FPS: one hand on the keyboard and one on the mouse. Kinda weird, I guess.

The arrow and enter keys work fine for me in those screens in Conquests, always have.

So the problem must ahve something to do with your computer.

After restarting the computer it worked....whatever, now if I could just get the "TAB" to skip from unit to unit, I'd be happy

Thats not too bad as the game tends to go through the units in order anyway... Although it never quite works with a stack... Also its probably easier to use a mouse to right click on a stack to actually see what units you have and to make sure you have used all the artillary before attacking.

You can use the wait command to skip through. It will not show fortified units though.

The problem with the wait command is that you may think you have used all your artillary and then find that infact there are several units of artillary that haven't been used which only right clicking can really show...

I wish I could navigate diplomacy with the keyboard...

It is annoying that it takes 5 clicks just to find out someone doesn't have anything new this turn. There used to be a utility around here somewhere that was suppposed to make diplomacy easier. I never actually used it, but everyone who did raved about it, I seem to recall.
