Error Message

Hello all!
I posted earlier about the problem I keep having when I get into a space race toward the end of the game. Someone suggested turning off the advisers, I tried that but still had the same problem

I was able to copy down the error, it looks just like this:

WINCIV
An error has occured in your application.
If you choose Ignore, you should save your work in a new file.
If you choose Close, your application will terminate.

Close Ignore


WINCIV caused a General Protection Fault in module CIV.EXE at 0014:1286
Choose close. WINCIV will close.


Has anyone seen it before?

We're not too familiar with WINCIV, preferring CIVDOS. What OS are you running? Did you get Winciv from Chronicles?

CivDOS graphics and design are way nicer, so don't bother CivWin. The interface of the latter is somewhat handier, but that doesn't worth it.
