1) When I conquered a former City-state which was controlled by my enemy Egypt, I was not given the choice of whether to raze it or liberate it. I kinda understand the reason for instantly razing it due to me playing OCC, but I still think that I at least should have the choice of liberating it. I suspect the same to be true regarding cities originally belonging to another civ.

2) When conquering cities with melee ships the ship moved "in land" after the city was automatically razed. Sometimes I was able to move the ship out into the sea again, but other times the ship would disappear and reappear in my capital. I assume that the latter should not be the case ?

Moderator Action: Moved to bug reports.

The first one is because of the auto-annex bug. Save before taking a city. If it auto-annexes reload and retake the city.

What difference would reloading make ? Is it only in some occurences that the city is auto-razed ?

The first is not a bug, but a design element of OCC (I assume you checked OCC in game set-up). Yes, it would be nice if it gave you a liberate or raze option, but that is not the design.

The second may still be a bit buggy. The Fall patch said:

- Added a check to make sure that after a city is disbanded (ex. razed), the units remaining on the plot are allowed to be there. If not (ex. naval units), then they are moved to the nearest valid plot.

When your destroyer was relocated to your capital, was your capital on a coast? (That is, was that a valid tile for a destroyer?) If so, not buggy. If not (i.e., inland capital), then buggy.

I am sad to hear about the first being a design element. Seems unfair to me not being able to liberate cities when playing OCC. Definately seems over like an oversight to me.

When my destroyer was relocated, my capital was on a coast, yes. BUT in two following events it was relocated to a city of my ally. I just do not understand why it can not move the melee ship back to the coastal square from which it came, instead of throwing it back to a city.

Well, at least it sent the destroyer to a coastal city. Before the patch, your destroyer might have ended up in an inland city, with no water access. All you could do then is delete it.
