Escape From Zombie Island 2 ready for public consumption

Actually Luxuries are a great idea ... it would cerntainly help keeping some building happy ... and having a supply out of a buildings immediate radius would make the factions 'colonize' ...

Any other ideas ???

In the pbem game reporting of an earlier version (which had Cloner playing Survivors and me the Company) I got a bit carried away with creative writing and mentioned that the Zeb Farm (which at that stage was only a building and not it's own faction) was famous for it's 'Homemade Pies'.
:mischief: of course if you followed that old game (link in my signature if interested) the surprise ingredient was a 2 headed calf and a mutated chicken :eek: this resulted in a lot of vomitting with the liberating Company men :lol:

Anyway ... Perhaps these sort of things, single or double luxuries (so that it can be traded) ... can be scattered about just out of reach.

Perhaps some of these ideas could be used.
... fruit there are many types.
... Magic Mushrooms or Blue Meanies there is a red mushroom with white spots somewhere
... Peyote there is a cactus around
... Honey there is a bee hive somewhere
... marijuana there is a green tobacco leaf
... Cigarettes and ... Vintage Wine Collection
 
I have noticed with Farmers and Authorities (I assume the others are the same) ... that NO wall graphics appear in the Capital Buildings ... is this something hardwired in the game because they have the Bastion (Palace) ???

btw I havn't mentioned yet ... but when Paul 'Snake' Diago get's promoted ... I love the foreign language acclaimation :lol:

I think Black Ops does this as well from memory ... makes them sound like mercenararies :thumbsup:

The still nameless :p Bodyguard is silent when promoted ... perhaps the SMG Security are as well ??!!!
 
You are able to build Walls with the discovery of Keep Em Out. Fortifications should show and are different for each faction.

As for more Resources, we have 36 Resources in now, however most are strategic. We don't want people too happy since they are in the Middle of this Zombie Horror :lol: If any more Resources are added, they will need to be Luxuries or perhaps Bonuses.
 
Yes I was talking about Luxuries ... and to make it dangerous to gather

And regarding my walls comment ... I was refering specifically to the Capital of each faction ... no wall appear when they are fortified

btw ... I really like the look of the fortifications the zombie one looks great :thumbsup:
 
"Capitals" do not show "Walls". I believe they are already given this type of protection by default and the graphics do not show for them outside. They will show the image for the Fortification inside the building if they are built. All other buildings will show the "walls". Zombies cannot Build them but if they capture a building that has walls, the Zombie Walls will show.
 
The Military Base had just completed Fortification the default was Supplies

I zoomed into the City Screen
I changed the engineer to cop
I just picked Riot Cop and then it crashed
 
Just thought another possible technology ... Telephone ... get the phones working would enable Embassy establishment (should be very cheap) and more than basic agreements to be proposed.
 
I know ... but you would change the word 'Embassy' to 'Meet' or 'Secure Line' or something.

I just got your updated truck sounds and I decided to QUIT the game ... the Leaderheads are wrong ... shows Roman and Celt
 
When I discussed this with King Arthur quite some time ago, I thought the Embassy situation was going to be handled as negotiations. Ambassadors were to be called Negotiators I believe. Will have to check on this.

...sounds like your Files and computer are not working properly because most of the things you are seeing and believe are Game errors are not. Make sure all files are up to date and placed where they belong. Other than that, ask "Santa" for a New Computer :lol:

I'm not sure they are as I am just updating as I receive them ... it would be good if the other testers could check each others reports AND also make more comments on the graphics, pedia and unit sounds !!!

eg. The boundary markers which show the cultural influenece of the buildings ... I've brought this up a number of times ... from my point of view the Authorities is too dark and gets lost in the terrain ... what do others think ???

Just nocturnal :lol: ... and I've been following this amusing scenario from near the beginning of the Conquest version.

Also the pbem game which used this as the basis was one of the best I've played in ... most of the players wrote a little story and posted screenies and fluff images after each turn ... we were staring in our own Dawn to Dusk movie.
 
Soon. Probably. Anyway, don't you think that Kindred scout is a better spunky kid graphic? Or that Zeb's Brother as another unit instead of reusing the Villista graphic? But I understand about the new units thing, I have more ideas for later, :).

(BTW, I might be able to c'n'p a scythe onto the wild farmboy, I'll try, :). I'm also doing some new LD pcx's for Hannibal and Van Allen.)
 
lol I never ever get to finish a game lol, everytime I went into halfway, new patches show up...oh well not complain.

I think the kindred scout are a bit too wild..looking with the hood and all but the life sure look threatening.

There are a total of four colas!!!! and for mine it show up as pill instead of cola. Could there be a wrong named file. It could explain why fe3333au playing as authorities thought he have cola when it was actually pill in city screen while me playing as survivors the cola show in city screen as pills. since on the normal game screen it's cola machine
